Our Story

The company Gaudete takes its name from the Latin expression gaudete, meaning joy, cheerfulness, or encouragement. These values have been at the heart of the brand since its founding in 2009 and continue to shape its approach to products, customers, and beauty itself.

The company initially focused on the wholesale distribution of the Horien brand in the Czech Republic, complemented by the retail sale of classic contact lenses and later also coloured contact lenses.

Since 2011, we have been an authorised retailer of the Korean cosmetics brand Skin79. Over time, we expanded our range to include additional Korean cosmetics, and since 2023 we have also been offering Japanese cosmetics.

Thanks to many years of experience and careful product selection, Gaudete combines aesthetics, functionality, and safety.

Since 2023, the company has been the owner of the Europe-wide Lucifer trademark relating to contact lenses.

Currently, the company Gaudete operates in the following countries: the Czech Republic, Ireland, Italy, France, Hungary, Germany, Poland, Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia, the United Kingdom, Spain, Switzerland, and the United States.
