Instructions for Use and Guidelines:
- Use contact lenses only if the packaging is undamaged.
- Wash your hands thoroughly before handling your lenses.
- Always work over a clean surface that will not damage the contact lenses if they fall.
- Always handle contact lenses with your fingertips and avoid contact with your nails.
- Consult your eye care professional and a contact lens specialist before using any eye or general medications.
- Do not wear lenses overnight (unless otherwise specified).
- It is not recommended to drive while wearing contact lenses.
- Before first use, place the lenses in a solution designed for soft contact lenses for at least 2 hours.
- Avoid environments with harmful fumes, smoke, dry air, air conditioning, or dust.
- If you experience any discomfort in your eyes – such as a foreign body sensation, burning, stinging, discomfort around the lens, light sensitivity, redness, itching, tearing, blurry edges around lights, halos, changes in vision, or dryness – remove the contact lenses immediately. If the symptoms persist, consult your eye care specialist.
- Do not use contact lenses beyond their expiration date.
- Scleral lenses are not intended for long-term wear.
Handling Contact Lenses:
- Ensure the contact lens is adequately hydrated, clean, clear, and free of cracks or tears.
- Check if the lens is inside out – place it on your index finger. The edges of an inside-out lens will flare outward, while the edges of a correctly positioned lens will curve inward and upward. If the lens is inserted incorrectly, it will cause irritation.
Inserting Contact Lenses:
- Place the lens on the tip of your index finger. Use the middle finger of the same hand to pull down your lower eyelid and the other hand to hold up your upper eyelid.
- Gently place the lens directly onto the cornea. Keep your eyelids open, look downward, release your eyelids, and blink gently to adjust the lens into its correct position.
Removing Contact Lenses:
- Hold your eyelids in the same way as when inserting the lens, or simply pull down the lower eyelid.
- Look upward and slide the lens down from the center of the cornea to the white part of the eye using your index finger. Gently pinch the lens between your thumb and index finger and remove it.
Caring for Contact Lenses:
- Rinse both compartments of your contact lens case with solution and fill them with fresh solution.
- Place the lens in your palm and moisten it with a few drops of solution. Gently rub the lens with the index finger of your other hand.
- Rinse the lens with fresh solution and place it in the case compartment. Ensure the lens is fully submerged in the solution. Close the case lid.
- Repeat this process with the other lens.
- Leave the lenses in solution for at least 6 hours before wearing them again.
- After wearing the lenses, discard the leftover solution and rinse the case with fresh solution. Let the case air dry, then close the lids once it is dry.
- Replace your contact lens case regularly.
- Never use water to clean or store contact lenses – only use solutions designed for contact lenses.
- If you are not wearing your lenses, store them in a case filled with solution, and replace the solution regularly (about once a week).
Contraindications:
Contact lenses should not be used under the following conditions:
- If you are allergic or sensitive to contact lenses or lens care products.
- If you suffer from eye diseases, injuries, inflammations, or infections.
- If you are using topical eye medications.
- If your eyes are sensitive to touch.
- If you have allergies, dry eye syndrome, or other infections of the anterior eye segment.
- If you have been diagnosed with glaucoma, tear film abnormalities, skin conditions around the eyes, or diabetes.
- If your working environment is unsuitable.
Note: Colds or hormonal changes, such as those caused by pregnancy or contraceptive use, may cause temporary issues. Contact lenses can also be irritated by exposure to creams, lotions, cosmetics, soaps, deodorants, or hair sprays, as well as other substances.
Important Reminder: Contact lenses should not be used if the wearer fails to follow care instructions, does not adhere to the recommended wearing time, or does not attend regular check-ups with an eye care professional. Contact lenses are also contraindicated for individuals who, due to their age, physical or mental condition, or unfavorable living or working conditions, are unable to properly follow care instructions. Do not wear contact lenses during water sports unless protective goggles are used.
